Ingredients Needed: scroll down for full recipe with exact measurements

  • Saltine crackers
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Milk Chocolate Chips
  • Oreo Cookies

Instructions:

Line a cookie sheet with Parchment paper, and pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Line the cookie sheet with a single layer of the Saltine Crackers.

In a sauce pan, bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, or until the mixture is a deep golden caramel color. Pour the hot mixture over the Saltines and spread over crackers with a spatula.

Place the cookie sheet in the oven, and bake for 6 to 7 minutes until the crackers and toffee are bubbly and gooey. Crush the Oreo’s while the crackers are baking. Remove from the oven, and move any crackers that are not still in a single layer back to a single layer with a butter knife, or spoon.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the crackers, and let the chocolate chips sit on the hot toffee/crackers until the start to melt – 2 to 3 minutes. Spread the melted chocolate over the tops of the crackers with a metal icing spatula, or the back of a large spoon. Sprinkle the crushed Oreo on top of the melted Chocolate, and let sit until completely cooled. Once cooled, break into pieces and serve. Enjoy!

Possible Variations:

While this recipe is so delicious and addicting as it is, the great thing about it is that it’s also so easy to customize however you want!

  • Switch out the Saltines for regular graham crackers or even chocolate graham crackers
  • Instead of using the full amount of milk chocolate chips, cut it in half and add in 1 cup of white chocolate chips for a Cookies & Cream Toffee
  • Go for peanut butter and use 1 cup of peanut butter chips with half the chocolate chips, then top with peanut butter Oreos
  • Change up the toppings from Oreos to any of your favorite candies – M&M’s, toffee bits, nuts or even just sprinkles
