Gluten Free, Vegan

Aperol Spritzes are super refreshing, not too sweet, really bubbly cocktails, really popular in Italy, that are perfect to relax with sitting on your porch after a long day.  What I love about them too is they are really easy to make!  Grab this recipe to save as your perfect Italian escape in your own backyard.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Ice
  • 1 part Aperol
  • 1 part prosecco*
  • Splash of club soda
  • Orange slices for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Fill your glass with ice.
  2. Pour your Aperol in, until it reaches about 1/3 of the way up the glass.
  3. Then pour your prosecco to about 2/3 full.
  4. Finish with a splash of club soda and an orange slice to garnish.

Notes

*I like to use a dryer prosecco so that the drink doesn’t get too sweet.  I have also made this with just about any dry champagne I have on hand (usually extra dry or brut), so it doesn’t have to be prosecco specifically!

Aperol is both gluten free and vegan, just make sure the champagne you use is too!
