This simple Root Beer Float fudge is a fun switch from your typical fudge flavors! Sweet and creamy with that familiar root beer flavor, this recipe will quickly become a family favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate
  • 1-2 tablespoons root beer flavoring
  • brown gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9 inch square pan with cooking spray, and line the bottom with parchment paper.

  2. In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, mix the butter, sugar, and Vanilla until smooth.

  3. Place the flour in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave the flour until it’s hot, about 1 & 1/2 minutes.

  4. Add the flour and salt to the mixing bowl with the wet ingredients and mix until smooth

  5. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave at 10 second intervals, stirring between, until melted

  6. Add the sweetened condensed milk to the melted white chocolate and stir until smooth. Add the white chocolate mixture to the mixing bowl and mix on low until completely blended.

  7. Divide the fudge in half and set aside one half.

  8. In the other bowl, add the root beer flavoring and mix well. Add two or three drops of brown food coloring gel and mix until it resembles the color of root beer.

  9. Pour the root beer fudge in to the prepared pan and presse evenly with a spatula or back of a large spoon. Place the pan in the freezer for 30 minutes.

  10. Place the pan in the freezer for 30 minutes. Remove from the freezer and pour the white fudge over the top of the root beer fudge.

  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm and set. Cut the fudge into squares and serve. Keep the prepared fudge in the fridge
