Description

If you didn’t believe chocolate bombs could get any better, then our Lemon Kit Kat Hot Chocolate Bombs should be next on your treat list!

Ingredients

Scale
  • Silicone mold
  • 2 cups yellow candy melts
  • 2 cups white hot chocolate mix
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 12 mini lemon kit kat bars

Instructions

  1. Place yellow candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave per the directions on the package.
  2. Place 1 tbsp melted candy melt into one half of a mold and, using the bottom of your tablespoon measuring spoon, press the chocolate up the sides of the mold, keeping it thick but even. Repeat with 12 bomb mold halves.
  3. Place the chocolate filled bomb molds into the freezer for 5 minutes.
  4. Cut the Kit Kats in half.
  5. Remove molds from the freezer and gently peel the silicone away from the chocolate, pushing the chocolate cups out of the mold.
  6. Fill 6 of the chocolate cups with 1 tbsp hot chocolate mix, 1 half stick of the Kit Kat candy and 6-8 mini marshmallows.
  7. Pipe a little melted chocolate on the rim’s edge then press one of the empty bomb shells on top, sealing the hot cocoa bomb closed.
  8. Pipe a little additional melted chocolate around the join line, then roll the hot cocoa bombs in the red sprinkles.
  9. Using a piping bag or a fork, place a tsp of the remaining chocolate candy melts on top of the assembled hot cocoa bombs then immediately follow by placing an additional half stick piece of Kit Kat candy bar on this chocolate dab.
  10. Place the hot cocoa bombs into the freezer for 5 minutes to get them to set, then remove and store in an airtight container until you’re ready to use.
  11. To use the hot cocoa bombs, place them in a mug and pour 2 cups hot milk over the top.
  12. Stir until the hot cocoa bombs are completely melted and enjoy!
