Description

Indulge in the timeless delight of a classic pecan pie with this irresistible recipe. Enjoy the perfect balance of buttery, caramelized pecans and a luscious, gooey filling in a flaky, homemade crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 1 deep-dish frozen pie shell (9-inch)
  • 3/4 cup pecans (halved)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the pie crust based on the recommendations on the box.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Evenly lay the chopped pecans along the bottom of the pie crust and set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl mix the corn syrup, eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon and mix well.
  5. Pour the pie filling slowly on the pecans. The pecans will rise to the top; if you see any empty spots, you can sprinkle a small amount of chopped pecans to ensure an even spread.
  6. Top with halved pecans.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is just a little bit jiggly.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Slice and enjoy with whipped cream or ice cream.
