Ingredients
For the Cupcakes
- 1 15oz box cake mix
- ingredients called for on box (eggs, oil, etc)
For the Buttercream Frosting
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
For the Toppers

Bake the cupcakes according to the directions on your boxed cake mix.

While your cupcakes are baking, place the room temperature butter in a medium sized bowl. Using a hand mixer, mix well. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix again until well combined.

Slowly add milk little by little, mixing in between until you get the thickness/creaminess that’s desired.

Choose a piping tip and place into a piping bag. Snip the end off and spoon frosting into piping bag.

Ice and decorate your cupcakes as desired
Notes
I used triple chocolate fudge cake mix for this recipe.
The frosting makes enough to frost 24 cupcakes – adjust measurements if you need more/less
