Christmas Tree Pretzels are probably one of the easiest recipes you will make this winter season. They require only 4 ingredients, and less than 20 minutes to make. Even better, they don’t require an oven at all! You simply drizzle green candy melts over pretzels and add some holiday sprinkles to make these cute, sweet and salty trees.

If your kids love helping out in the kitchen, but aren’t quite old enough to bake, this is the perfect recipe for them. This is one they can handle completely, even if they come out looking like a total mess. They will love getting creative with the decorations!

Description

Christmas Tree Pretzels are an easy and fun treat to make for the Christmas! Perfect for kids holiday parties or as a simple snack! They make a great cupcake topper too!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon coconut or olive oil
  • 1 cup dark green candy melts
  • 20 pretzel sticks
  • Decorative Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Lay out a large sheet of parchment paper.

  2. Lay your pretzel sticks on the paper, spaced apart.

  3. In a small bowl add candy melts and oil, mix and microwave 30 seconds. Stir and microwave in 15 second intervals until well mixed and smooth.

  4. Pour candy mixture into a piping or zip lock bag. Snip a small end of the bag off with scissors.

  5. Starting about 2/3 of an inch up the pretzel stick, make a zig zag pattern back and forth up the pretzel stick doing larger zig zag motions at the bottom (for the widest part of the tree) and getting smaller as you work your way to the top.

  6. Once your tree is formed, sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles as desired.

  7. Repeat for all pretzels.

  8. Allow to cool at room temperature or place in fridge for 10 minutes to harden.
