Description
Dairy Free, Refined Sugar Free, Gluten Free Option
Moist and fluffy, packed with melty chocolate chips, and sweetened with bananas and a little maple syrup. The best and only chocolate banana bread recipe you will ever need!
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 and 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted and cooled
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup dairy free milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- lots of chocolate chips*
- Optional: 1/2 tbsp stevia
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Mash bananas with a fork until most lumps are gone, and then add eggs, milk, maple syrup and coconut oil and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients, and then fold in chocolate chips (use as much as you want for these!).
- Pour batter in a greased or lined bread pan, and top with additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 37-40 minutes, until edges start to brown and a toothpick comes out (mostly) clean. (Keeping it mind it could hit a chocolate chip – you can always just test to see if bread is firm too).
