Description
The classic childhood treat, with a touch of fall. These apple pie rice krispie treats are easy to make, require no baking, and give a beloved treat a little festive flavor!
Ingredients

- 10 oz bag mini marshmallows
- 5 cups rice cereal
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (try my easy tahini vegan salted caramel)
Instructions
- Reserve 1/2 heaping cup of marshmallows and set aside.
- Add the remaining marshmallows to a large pot. Add the milk and butter and heat over medium heat stirring frequently until the marshmallows are melted.
- Remove from heat and stir in the apple pie spice and vanilla.
- Then pour in the cereal, stir, add the remaining marshmallows, and then stir until evenly coated.
- Pour the cereal mixture into an 8×8 baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Using your fingers or parchment paper, lightly press into the pan.
- Leave the treats at room temperature to set.
- Once they’re set, drizzle caramel sauce on top.
Notes
Traditional Rice Krispie cereal is not certified gluten free. If you want a gluten free option, I recommend One Degree Organics brown rice crisps
