Gluten Free, Vegan, Refined Sugar Free
A light and soft pie crust made with only three grain free and vegan ingredients building the perfect base to any pie that everyone can enjoy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup tapioca flour
- 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 5 tbsp water
- dash of salt
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients together in a bowl and stir until a dough forms.
- Cool in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
- Roll out on a sheet of parchment paper to get it big and thin enough to place into a 9in pie pan.
- Gently transfer to the pan, pressing against the sides.
- If you are making a pie you will bake – bake alone for 15 minutes at 400F to prep, then cook with pie.
- If you are making a no bake pie – bake pie crust alone for about 25 minutes until edges start to brown.
Notes
Optional to add a tsp of dry sweetener (stevia, cane sugar, coconut sugar) if you want a sweetened crust.
