Description

Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Refined Sugar Free

This healthy turkey bolognese is made with lean ground turkey, no butter or oil, and lots of spices and veggies to bring a flavorful and lighter version of your favorite comfort food to your family’s dinner table.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup matchstick carrots, chopped
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pack Banza pasta


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium/high heat, saute onion, carrot, and garlic until fragrant (about two minutes).  Add ground turkey and cook through, then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, wine, oregano, and bring to a simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken.
  3. Pour over pasta of choice (I used a box of Banza)

Notes

You can use any pasta you want with this!
