- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar (divided)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Take the butter, vanilla extract, and 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until combined and turns creamy.
- Add flour, salt, and baking powder into the butter mixture; next, add milk (1 tablespoon at a time) and mix all together to form a dough.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F or 180 C.
- Remove the chilled dough and roll out the disc until ¼ inch thick.
- Now, with the help of a snowflake cookie cutter, cut into shapes.
- Bake the cookies for about 9-10 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating.
- Arrange the cookies on a tray and dust powdered sugar on them as desired.
Notes
You can store the snowflake cookies (without garnish) in an air-tight container at room temperature for 2 weeks.
