Gluten Free, Vegan, Refined Sugar Free
A delicious pesto made with any of your favorite greens that is smooth and flavorful. Not only is it vegan, but it is nut free too!
Ingredients

- 1 cup basil
- 2 cups leafy greens (spinach, arugula, etc.)
- 3/4 cup shelled hemp hearts
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Combine basil, greens, lemon juice, garlic, salt, nutritional yeast, and olive oil together in a food processor and blend down, scraping edges as needed.
- Once that is fairly blended, start adding hemp hearts slowly, and blend until everything is well combined.
- Enjoy on top of pasta, chicken, or off the spoon! 🙂
Notes
You can use any leafy greens for this! I have tried spinach, arugula, and spring mix.
