Description

This homemade blueberry syrup is a tasty addition to anything from cocktails and mocktails to pancakes and waffles! Enjoy this simple, flavorful, blueberry syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine the blueberries, water, and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan.
  2. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the blueberries have burst and released their juices, about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  4. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth, pressing down on the blueberries to extract all of the juice.
  5. Let the syrup cool to room temperature before using it in your cocktails.
