Description

Creamy vanilla frosting, white chocolate chips, classic Chex cereal, and a couple of special ingredients make this funfetti puppy chow a sweet childhood treat you can feel good about serving!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 and 1/2 cups Chex Rice Cereal
  • 1/2 cup vanilla frosting (I used Simple Mills)
  • 3/4 cup White Chocolate Chips (I used Lily’s)
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Powdered sugar to taste
  • Rainbow sprinkles to taste

Instructions

  1. Measure out your cereal and put in a big mixing bowl, set aside.
  2. In a small sauce pan over the lowest heat (you don’t want this to burn!) combine the chocolate, frosting, coconut oil, and almond extract and mix until melted.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, mixing the cereal (carefully not to break), until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the cereal to a large zipper top bag, and sprinkle on powdered sugar until coated to your preference, and then sprinkle on as many sprinkles as you want! Shake the bag to evenly cover.
  5. Transfer the puppy chow to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to cool/solidify before serving or moving to storage.
