Description
Creamy vanilla frosting, white chocolate chips, classic Chex cereal, and a couple of special ingredients make this funfetti puppy chow a sweet childhood treat you can feel good about serving!
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 and 1/2 cups Chex Rice Cereal
- 1/2 cup vanilla frosting (I used Simple Mills)
- 3/4 cup White Chocolate Chips (I used Lily’s)
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Powdered sugar to taste
- Rainbow sprinkles to taste
Instructions
- Measure out your cereal and put in a big mixing bowl, set aside.
- In a small sauce pan over the lowest heat (you don’t want this to burn!) combine the chocolate, frosting, coconut oil, and almond extract and mix until melted.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, mixing the cereal (carefully not to break), until evenly coated.
- Transfer the cereal to a large zipper top bag, and sprinkle on powdered sugar until coated to your preference, and then sprinkle on as many sprinkles as you want! Shake the bag to evenly cover.
- Transfer the puppy chow to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to cool/solidify before serving or moving to storage.
