Creamy vanilla frosting, white chocolate chips, classic chex cereal and a couple special ingredients make this funfetti puppy chow a sweet childhood treat you can feel good about serving your kids – or eat for yourself! 😉
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 and 1/2 cup Chex Rice Cereal
- 1/2 cup Simple Mills vanilla frosting
- 3/4 cup Lily’s White Chocolate Chips
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Pyure Powdered Stevia & powdered sugar to taste
- Rainbow sprinkles to taste
Instructions
- Measure out your cereal and put in a big mixing bowl, set aside.
- In a small sauce pan over the LOWEST heat (you don’t want this to burn!) combine the chocolate, frosting, coconut oil, and almond extract and mix until melted.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, mixing the cereal (carefully not to break), until evenly coated.
- Transfer the cereal to a large ziploc bag, and sprinkle on powdered stevia/powdered sugar until coated to your preference, and then sprinkle on as many sprinkles as you want! Shake the bag to evenly cover.
- Transfer to puppy chow to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to cool/solidify before serving or moving to storage.
Notes
Don’t use all powdered stevia, it will not cover the mix as well. I like to use about half and half to cut down on sugar, but you still need the powdered sugar to get that great coating!
