Description

Gluten Free

Creamy vanilla frosting, white chocolate chips, classic chex cereal and a couple special ingredients make this funfetti puppy chow a sweet childhood treat you can feel good about serving your kids – or eat for yourself! 😉

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 and 1/2 cup Chex Rice Cereal
  • 1/2 cup Simple Mills vanilla frosting
  • 3/4 cup Lily’s White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Pyure Powdered Stevia & powdered sugar to taste
  • Rainbow sprinkles to taste

Instructions

  1. Measure out your cereal and put in a big mixing bowl, set aside.
  2. In a small sauce pan over the LOWEST heat (you don’t want this to burn!) combine the chocolate, frosting, coconut oil, and almond extract and mix until melted.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, mixing the cereal (carefully not to break), until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the cereal to a large ziploc bag, and sprinkle on powdered stevia/powdered sugar until coated to your preference, and then sprinkle on as many sprinkles as you want! Shake the bag to evenly cover.
  5. Transfer to puppy chow to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to cool/solidify before serving or moving to storage.

Notes

Don’t use all powdered stevia, it will not cover the mix as well.  I like to use about half and half to cut down on sugar, but you still need the powdered sugar to get that great coating!
