Description
This tiramisu recipe is as delicious and indulgent as they come! This version is made with homemade lady fingers and no eggs! Your friends and family will love this recipe!
Ingredients
For the Lady Fingers
- 1/3 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup plain whole milk yogurt
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon corn flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- pinch of salt
For the Mascarpone Cream
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
For the Coffee Mixture
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
- cocoa powder
Instructions
For the Lady Fingers

Combine the butter and sugar in a bowl and whisk until it is light and creamy.

Add the yogurt, water and vanilla extract and give it another mix

Now sift in all the remaining ingredients into the bowl. Fold this mixture gently until everything is evenly combined.

Place the batter into a piping bag.

Line a cookie sheet with a parchment paper and pipe the batter into thick stripes, roughly around 2cm thick and 8-10cm long.

Bake these cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 15-20 minutes, until the top starts to get golden.

Take the cookies out and let it cool completely.
For the Mascarpone Cream

Add the coffee into the cream and set it aside for 10 minutes for the coffee to soften.

Place the mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl. Whisk it with a hand whisk or an electric whisk until smooth.

Add the coffee and cream mixture into the whipped mascarpone and whisk it once again until everything is evenly combined.
For the Coffee Mixture

Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until it is well combined.
For the Assembly

Take one lady finger, dip it in the coffee mixture and place it on a dish.

Repeat this process with the other lady fingers one by one until you fill the bottom of the dish.

Now place half of the mascarpone cream on top of the soaked and lined lady fingers and spread it evenly. You can also pipe the cream here to have a prettier presentation.

Repeat the process of dipping the lady fingers into the coffee syrup and build another layer of lady fingers on top of the mascarpone cream.

Now place the remaining mascarpone cream on top of the second layer and spread it evenly. You can again choose to pipe it.

Dust the top with some cocoa powder.

Chill the assembled tiramisu in the refrigerator for a couple of hours and enjoy!
