The lowest carb banana bread you’ll ever have 😛 This banana bread dessert hummus takes our favorite baked good and makes it into a flavorful creamy spread that you can serve along fruit or your favorite crackers.

- 1 (15.5 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 very ripe banana
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave (plus more for drizzling)
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Remove the skins from the chickpeas or simmer the chickpeas in 3 cups of water and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. This step is optional but it does make the creamiest hummus.
- Once the chickpeas are peeled or boiled, combine the chickpeas, banana, peanut butter, sweetener, cinnamon, and salt together in your food processor, and blend until smooth.
- Top with crumbled walnuts and additional maple syrup, if desired.
