Let’s Make Some Tuna Patties
Okay so you are looking through your pantry and you have some canned tuna but arent sure what to do with it because you dont want to just eat it out of the can. We have all been there right? Maybe just me? Anyways – I love canned tuna because there are some really quality brands out there now and it is a great pantry item that is full of protein, and can be a life saver when you need it.
These tuna patties take it to a whole new level. If you are willing to do a little more work than just opening the can and eating, you can have a delicious and crispy patty waiting for you!
For this recipe I used chickpea flour – it keeps it gluten free, adds a lot of great protein and fiber, and makes for a really great consistency. I have not tried any other flours so if you do please let me know!
All you have to do is mix your ingredients together and form patties and then cook! I like doing it on my grill pan so it can get extra crispy but any skillet will do.
Then you should DEFINITELY make the lemon dill sauce. The lemony flavor really complements the patty well. If you dont do dairy you can always use a plant based alternative yogurt.
In addition to the listed ingredients, you will need:
- a mixing bowl
- a skillet
- oil to grease the pan
- another small bowl to make the sauce in
Enjoy!
