Variations To Make The Best Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

  •  If you aren’t a huge fan of raisins, you could always substitute in dried cranberries or cherries. Or you could leave it out all together and sub in chocolate chips for an easy and delicious chocolate chip oatmeal cookie. You could go a step further and use chocolate covered raisins.
  • You can lightly toast the oatmeal for about 8-10 minutes before adding into your dough. You want it to get light golden and fragrant.
  • For the adults, soak the raisins in a small amount of dark rum while you prepare the dough. Add the raisins as the final step before baking.
