These easy to make caramel apple hand pies are the perfect fall treat! They’re great for a party!
Who doesn’t love a good apple pie? And who isn’t a huge fan of sharing dessert? These Caramel Apple Hand Pies are the perfect answer for both questions. They are an easy grab and go dessert, no plate or forks required. Plus everyone gets their own individual serving – talk about portion control. That makes them perfect for Thanksgiving dinner with the family or your next football viewing party.
You just can’t beat having an apple pie all to yourself.
Ingredients

- Caramel Sauce
- Premade Pie Crust
- Flour
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Ginger
- Apple
- Egg
Instructions
Unroll pie crusts. Using a biscuit cutter (3 inch round cutter) to cut out 28 rounds, reroll scraps as needed and roll out using a rolling pin.
In a small dish combine flour, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger
Peel, core and dice apples into tiny pieces.
Add apple, dry ingredients and 1 tablespoon of caramel to the mixture. Mix until well combined.
Lay out 16 rounds of pie crust on a parchment lined baking sheet.
In a small bowl whisk egg and water together. Using a brush, brush egg mixture on the edges of the pie crust. Spoon 1 tablespoon of apple mix into the center of each pie round. Top with another pie crust round. Gently press and seal the edges using a fork. Repeat until all rounds are full.
Using a sharp pairing knife make a small X on top of the pie. Then brush the top of each pie with egg wash mixture.
Tips
You can use any type of apple you prefer for these pies. A mix of sweet/tart is delicious. I normally use Honeycrisp or Granny Smith, but Fuji, Gala, or Jazz would be great options as well.
Feel free to use whatever size cookie cutter you have on hand. Or if you don’t have a circle cutter, use a sharp knife around a cup. Just be aware that baking times might need adjusting.

- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- dash ginger
- 1 large apple
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon water

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
