How to Make Brownies From Scratch

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
  2. Mix until combined and the chocolate is perfectly melted.
  3. Slowly add the sugar in little by little. Before you add anything else you need to let the eggs and sugar rise and turn pale yellow in color.
  4. Add some of the sugar mixture into the chocolate, so it cools off.
  5. Once it is at room temperature, add the chocolate mixture back into the standing mixer bowl with the rest of the sugar and eggs.
  6. Mix until combined.
  7. Sift the flour into the mixture and mix until combined. Do NOT over mix. You can also mix it manually instead of using the standing mixer.
  8. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing the brownies from the pan and then cut them into squares.

Ingredients

  • 200 g Butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 100 g All Purpose Flour
  • 150 g Semi Sweet Chocolate
  • 2 ½ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the chocolate and cocoa powder.
  3. Mix until combined and the chocolate is perfectly melted.
  4. In a stand mixer, beat the eggs until they are light and fluffy.
  5. Slowly add the sugar in little by little. Before you add anything else you need to let the eggs and sugar rise and turn pale yellow in color.
  6. Add some of the sugar mixture into the chocolate, so it cools off.
  7. Once it is at room temperature, add the chocolate mixture back into the standing mixer bowl with the rest of the sugar and eggs.
  8. Mix until combined.
  9. Sift the flour into the mixture and mix until combined. Do NOT over mix. You can also mix it manually instead of using the standing mixer.
  10. Pour into your greased pan and place it in the oven for 28 to 30 minutes or until the texture does not bounce. When it is ready the top will no longer look shiny. Do not overcook.
  11. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing the brownies from the pan and then cut them into squares.
