French toast is a forever favorite for me. One of my aunts would alwayssss make her “famous french toast” every time she came and visited us so eating it just makes me happy 🙂 but what makes me even happier is cutting it into dunkable slices (I love me a lot of syrup) and putting it in the AIR FRYER to get super crispy

Ingredients You’ll Need for Air Fried French Toast Sticks:
Really not too many ingredients for this recipe which I also love, I bet you probably have most of these if not all of them already in your home!
- Bread – I will use any bread I have on hand, but I must say sourdough is a new favorite for this
- Non-dairy milk – I have used almond and cashew, but literally any milk will work here.
- Eggs – I have never made french toast without eggs, but have seen some vegan recipes that use chia seeds instead. You can even grind them up so you don’t have big seeds in each bite. Could be worth a try!
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla – I also love swapping this with almond extract if you have it on hand for a fun extra flavor.
Let’s Make Some Air Fried French Toast Sticks!
So for this one just start by cutting your bread into thirds, lengthwise. This is the perfect size for dunking and will get nice and crispy on the outside while staying nice and soft on the inside.
Then you are just going to whisk together the rest of your ingredients in a shallow bowl that you are able to dunk your slices in. You are going to put them right into the air fryer so be sure to spray that with oil first. These will stick if you don’t and we don’t want that!
I cooked these in my air fryer at 400F and put it on for 15 minutes. But I flipped them after 7 and the first side was perfect, but the second side doesn’t seem to need as much time. I’d check them again at about the 11 minute mark just to see. You can always leave them in there but you don’t want them to burn!
I think those are the main things to cover, but if I didn’t answer a question you have feel free to ask via a comment below or shoot me a DM on Instagram and I will get back to you!
In addition to the listed ingredients, you will need:
